How do I sign up?

  1. If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to register here.
  2. Complete the form, then click “Continue”.
  3. To actually sign up for a shift, you’ll need to log into VicNet (our volunteer portal). To access the portal, use the login information that you created during the registration process. Your Login Name is your email address.
  4. Click “My Schedule” to view volunteer opportunities and sign up for shifts.

Do I need to be 18 years of age to volunteer with Sac Event Crew?

Any age restrictions are noted in the Job Description when you view the volunteer assignment. For most events, you do not need to be 18.

There are, however, some events that require you to be 21 or older.

If you are between the age of 12-16, we require that a chaperone accompany you.

Can I volunteer for just one event?

Absolutely! Some of our volunteers sign up for specific events only, while others enjoy volunteering for all.

How long are the shifts?

The shifts are typically 4 – 4.5 hours. However, depending on the event, many volunteers will choose to sign up for two shifts.

Do you provide parking?

We absolutely do our best to provide free parking for our volunteers. And at most of our events, we offer free Bike Valet service.

Do you provide orientations before events, and is it mandatory I attend?

Yes, we have orientations for some of our larger events. Attendance is not mandatory, but encouraged.

Do you provide service hours?

Yes. We have many volunteer opportunities for youth to acquire service hours.

Do I need a background check/fingerprints?

It depends on the event, but for most of our events, no. However, if a background check is required, there is no charge to the volunteer.

How do I get my friends and family to volunteer?

Just have them fill out the registration form and sign up for shifts!
